RAPID PROTOTYPING SERVICES FOR LARGE-SCALE ELEMENTS IN REVERSE ENGINEERING WITH JUST-IN-TIME DELIVERIES
SERVICE CHARACTERISTICS:
- Precise measurement and scanning of objects ranging from a few millimeters to several hundred centimeters using the advanced ZEISS CONTURA 12/18/8 measuring machine.
- Creating documentation for scanned parts – 3D CAD model, 2D/3D drawing.
- Creating precise prototypes using 3D printing technology (using VSHAPER 270).
- Comparing the measured part with the CAD model.
- Dimensioning parts according to 2D documentation.
- Comprehensive reverse engineering.
- Virtual assembly of cooperating elements and collision control.
The innovative service, implemented under the Regional Operational Program of the Silesian Voivodeship for 2014-2020 for Priority Axis III: Competitiveness of SMEs for action: 3.2 Innovations in SMEs, integrates several elements – automatic measurement of the object using 3D measurement technology, prototype printing on a 3D printer, CAD design, and CAM manufacturing of metal parts, and CNC machining.

STAGES OF ACTION:
- Preparation of the measurement procedure
- Measurement using dedicated automatic 3D scanning systems
- Data processing and development of an STL file (or similar)
- Creating a 3D prototype using 3D printing technology
- Preparing a report according to client guidelines (tabular or graphic)
- Preparing CAD models in neutral formats, e.g., STEP, IGES, VDA, SAT
- Saving the file in the cloud
The rapid prototyping service is provided by MICHASIÓW METAL-MAX SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ using a modern 5-axis CNC machining center – HAAS UMC-1000, a measuring machine – ZEISS CONTURA 12/18/8
3D printer – VSHAPER 270 with the participation of innovative process and organizational solutions. It is an innovative service
that integrates several elements: automatic measurement of the object using 3D measurement technology, prototype printing on a 3D printer, CAD design, and CAM manufacturing of metal parts, CNC machining. The entire process is supported by the use of Indeva Liftronic Easy industrial manipulators with magnetic grippers. All indicated technologies are integrated into a new innovative service product. As a result, they provide the service with specific features that distinguish it and prove the uniqueness, originality
and advantage of this type of enterprise service over competitors’ services.
Innovative machining process based on HSM (High Speed Machining) of large-scale elements.
The innovative machining process carried out at MICHASIÓW METAL-MAX SPÓŁKA Z OGRANICZONĄ ODPOWIEDZIALNOŚCIĄ based on HSM of large-scale elements is provided using a specially selected set of machines, tools, and devices.
